How to Pass the AWS Developer (DVA-C02)
Build and deploy cloud-native applications.
SDK calls, Lambda patterns, DynamoDB access — the DVA-C02 tests implementation speed. We train the service-selection reflexes that eliminate hesitation.

DVA-C02 scores implementation judgment more than architecture breadth
The Developer Associate exam is built around a specific kind of decision: not which service to use, but how to configure it correctly for the scenario. You are expected to know which Lambda trigger fits an event-driven integration, how to model a DynamoDB partition key for a given access pattern, which CodeDeploy deployment type matches the rollback requirement, and when a simple SDK call is the right answer over a multi-service pipeline. Candidates with an architecture background frequently over-design, reaching for Step Functions where an SQS queue and Lambda handler suffices, or provisioned concurrency where on-demand is clearly appropriate. The exam rewards knowing the implementation details developers actually work with, and scores against reaching for complexity the scenario does not require.
