AWS SysOps Administrator (SOA-C03) trap evaluation
9 trap types across 200 SysOps Administrator questions. Know which ones cost you points — and train until they don't.
Most points are lost on configuration, not service selection
A recurring failure pattern in SOA-C03 is getting the right service and the wrong configuration: the wrong CloudWatch metric for a given failure scenario, the wrong Auto Scaling policy type for the described workload behavior. An observability blind spot runs alongside this: selecting a metric when a log filter was the appropriate signal, or reaching for CloudTrail when CloudWatch Logs fits the described failure mode. Systems Manager compounds both: SSM has multiple overlapping capabilities, and questions are calibrated to distinguish between them where they look interchangeable. That includes cases where a custom Lambda runbook is the wrong answer because SSM Automation already covers the task natively.
